Transport Allowance

A transport allowance is included in your NDIS plan as a part of core support Assistance with Social and Community Participation. There are three levels of funding available depending on how often you work or study:

  • Level 1 – Participants who are not working or studying but want to increase community access and gain independence can access transport services to ensure safe and reliable transportation to various destinations. By utilising these transport services, individuals can enhance their participation in social activities, access essential services, and explore new opportunities within their community.
  • Level 2 – Participants working less than 15 hours a week are eligible for additional funding benefits to assist them to and from their place of work or study. This additional funding support aims to make it easier for participants who work part-time to access their workplace or educational institutions without facing financial barriers.
  • Level 3 – Participants working more than 15 hours per week or who are studying or looking for work have the opportunity to access increased funding for transportation providers. This additional support aims to facilitate easier travel to and from work, school, or job interviews, promoting independence and opportunities for growth.

Whether you choose our community transport services, travel with one of our support workers or prefer to access a taxi or rideshare service, our team are more than happy to assist you. To find out what cover is included as a part of your plan, contact us for a free 30-minute consultation.
