Supported Independant Living

Supported Independent Living services at Russell Healthcare

Russell Healthcare currently has two Gold Coast SIL houses where our support workers help participants learn important skills that will enable them to live independently.

As a NDIS-registered SIL provider, our focus is on empowering participants with the necessary skills to foster independence and enhance their quality of life.

Person-centred care

Our approach focuses on individuals, customising each bedroom to meet the specific needs and preferences of every participant. This creates an environment that caters to their unique requirements, setting them up for success. This personalised approach not only promotes a sense of comfort and security but also fosters independence and empowerment. By supporting the uniqueness of each person, we can truly make a positive impact on their overall well-being and quality of life.

Flexible supports

SIL programs for individuals with disabilities offer flexibility to adjust support levels as needs change, prioritising communication and collaboration with participants, their families and support workers to maintain relevant and effective support plans. This adaptability ensures participants progress towards independence while still having access to the necessary support when required.

Tenancy Selection

Building a community where tenants feel understood, valued, and supported is at the core of our tenancy selection process. Through thoughtful matching and consideration, we aim to promote inclusivity, understanding, and a sense of belonging for all individuals within our SIL homes. This approach helps create a supportive and welcoming environment within our SIL houses. By considering the existing residents' needs and personalities, we strive to foster connections and relationships that can enhance everyone's living experience.
